FAQ's

Will you be our photographer?
Yes, I will always be your primary photographer.  If you decide you would like to have a second shooter I will  arrange that and they will work with me.  All editing and post prodution will be done by me.

What should we wear?
The most important thing is to wear what you are comfortable in!

For group portraits, avoid wearing heavy patterns. Rather than dressing identically, groups should wear clothes in similar or complementary shades. For example, instead of black, a group could wear different shades of black, white and gray. Please note that for adults, longer sleeves tend to photograph better.

I would let your child wear clothing they feel good in because you are going to get better expressions from a happy child than one who was forced to wear a tie so he screamed and cried about it for 30 minutes.

I've had great results from parents who let their children help pick out their clothes for their session because it makes it fun and exciting for the kids. Bring props, toys, stuffed animals -- anything you think would help your child relax and feel good.  I will have things on hand as well to help things along.

Remember, the most important thing with clothing is that you are COMFORTABLE, remember that and you will be thrilled with the expressions and the fun we will have creating your portraits.

How long does a session last?
This depends on the type of session and the number of people involved,  A bridal session is about one to two hours while a family session may last 45 minutes to one hour.

Do you travel?
Of course I will travel to you.  Travel fees are applied to anything outside of Tarrant county.  Give me a call and we will work out the details.

Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, I charge state and local sales tax for the state of Texas, 6.25%.

How long have you been a photographer?
I have been photographing since I was 16-years-old.  I have a degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in media arts and photography.  I started my own business in 2005.

How do you determine your pricing?
There are so many variables that go into pricing. For example, a session may cost $300 and include a consult prior to the session, travel time to and from the location, the photographer’s time and talent during the session, and any set-up and tear-down. After the session, we enter post-production phase, when images are loaded onto the computer and edited – this alone can take several hours. You also have to consider all of the equipment involved in capturing images and maintaining a photography business, including camera gear, computer, and lights.

As you can see, a lot goes into a photography session that often goes unseen (as it should) by the client. In the end, you’re getting a great deal and some fabulous portraits that you will cherish for a lifetime!

My goal is to provide the best possible customer service that I can to each and every one of my customers, and I encourage your input in the creative process. If you have an idea for an image, just let me know and we will make it happen together. These are YOUR pictures, I want you to LOVE them!
